Amy Shapiro, MD
About Amy Shapiro, MD
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Amy M. Shapiro, MD, has been in her pediatric practice since 2004. As a Los Angeles native, she was excited to return to her hometown after earning her medical degree from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in North Chicago, Illinois.
While in residency with the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Shapiro traveled to Guatemala and Africa as part of medical missions to provide high-quality health care in rural communities. She loves working with families, and she cherishes the opportunity to keep kids healthy and help them feel better when they’re sick.
Dr. Shapiro has many passions outside of pediatrics, including hiking in the Santa Monica mountains, hiking Mount Whitney, and listening to live music. She also loves traveling the world when she gets the chance. But when not with patients, she and her husband mostly enjoy chasing after their two active sons, Mack and Bruce.
Dr. Shapiro always remembers my kids, even though they really only see her for their well-child visits each year. She’s personable, easy to talk to and positive. I am extremely satisfied with our continued pediatric care from Dr. Shapiro. In addition, the assistants are always friendly, thorough and professional. Only positive feedback here!!Real Patient

Dr. Shapiro is a godsend! She is very attentive to all our concerns regarding our child's heath. She is kind, caring, patient with kids & new parents, takes the time to listen and give the best possible advice. We are very lucky to have her as our pediatrician. Thank you Dr. Shapiro!Providence Patient
We love Dr. Shapiro. Always responsive. Emailed her several times during and after business hours and she responded promptly. Also requested referrals for PT and she provided those and filled out Rx forms Immediately. I was super Impressed with the speed at which Dr Shapiro had everything taken care of. If I could give her more than the highest rating, I would.Providence Patient

Everything was greatProvidence Patient
I just wanna say "Dr Amy Shapiro is the best child care provider!"Providence Patient
Dr. Shapiro is great. The front desk ladies are rude, depending on who you get. Also, the nurse that is assigned to Dr. Shapiro is rude. My kids asked to switch doctors because they don't like how the nurse treats them especially administering shots.Providence Patient
Dr. Shapiro is very kind and carrying. She always answers all of my concerns and questions promptly, even over the weekend. She cares very much for her patients and refers to specialists, gives great direction that are easy to follow and I trust her with my daughter's health completely.Providence Patient
Reception and nurse who took my daughters vitals were great. At a previous practice I liked the doctor but not the rest of the staff so this stood out for me.Providence Patient
