Dr. Wei Jenny Yang, MD, is a hospitalist at Providence Saint John’s Health Center, where she provides comprehensive inpatient care across a wide range of medical conditions. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California Los Angeles. She then completed her medical education at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, followed by her internal medicine residency at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Yang has been practicing medicine since 2022, with a focus on social determinants of health and transitions of care. Her practice emphasizes delivering inclusive, culturally competent care to patients in her community. She is especially passionate about working with the underserved and those with chronic diseases. In addition to clinical care, Dr. Yang has contributed to several publications related to health disparities, including research on improving access for Asian Americans. She has also been involved in various leadership roles, such as co-president of her program’s branch of the American Women’s Association and mentor to underrepresented medical students. Outside of work, Dr. Yang enjoys exploring new restaurants, practicing her photography skills, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Yang believes in the collaborative spirit of the patient-physician relationship and approaches patient care as a personalized endeavor, with the goal of empowering her patients to be active participants in their own health.
