About Tariq Shah, MD
Dr. Tariq Shah is a Nephrologist in Los Angeles, California. He completed his residency in internal medicine at SUNY in New York. His successful career began early when he was elected chief resident and awarded Best Resident. Dr. Shah went on to train at UCLA’s Nephrology and Transplant programs. His Nephrology training has been broad-based–he has served as director of kidney and pancreas transplant programs and has been actively involved in teaching medical residents, fellows, pharmacists, and nursing students. In addition, he is a professor at Western University College of Pharmacy in Pomona, California. Dr. Shah is a highly experienced physician who specializes in the care of patients with kidney disease, including those who require kidney transplantation. He is known for his expertise in the management of complex cases, and for his commitment to providing personalized, compassionate care. His commitment and involvement in research and education and has led him to publish extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Shah loves spending time with his family and in his rare leisure time he enjoys, golfing, hiking, and running.

Dr. Shah always gets labs done within days before my appointment so he can track my progress details frequently. He is respectful towards me, always courteous and helpful. Please note that Dr. Shah is a an extremely dedicated physician. He has gathered information from over ten years where a lab test (not connected with Saint John's Health Center) showed I had Chronic Kidney Disease but, unfortunately, no follow follow-up appointments were made. I am not only grateful that Dr. Shah's intense interest in my health and zealous dedication to his practice was the element that completed the missing link that brought about the right diagnosis to what was ailing me for such a long, long time. Dr. Shah is a true healer.

There were no bad experiences related to Dr. Gordon. He was very thorough in his questioning about my condition, stage three kidney disease and other physical problems. There has been recent attention paid to a heart murmur and Dr. Gordon followed through with a physical exam to listen to my heart.
