He completed his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, D.C., where he was the chief fellow.

Dr. Fischer and his staff were very well organized and prepared to make the most of a short appointment. Blood tests were done upon arrival and the doctor appeared with fill knowledge of the results. It was encourageing to me when he recommended the next appointment in 6 months, indicating satisfactory results so far. My condition was apparently stable since the first appointment more than a year ago.

What I did not like about the last visit was the nurse who drew the blood. It was unexpectedly painful and remained painful for hours afterwards. This is not my normal experience with blood labs and I have them relatively often.

What most impressed me is that Sean, after listening to me, felt I needed to dig deeper into an issue I was having, so he scheduled a sonogram within the hour and then referred me to another care provider for further investigation of this issue.
