About Ruth Sorotzkin, MD
Southern California native Ruth A. Sorotzkin, MD received her BA in Human Biology at Stanford University, her medical training at the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine in Los Angeles. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she has been practicing medicine in Santa Monica since 1992.
Dr. Sorotzkin has a strong interest in wellness and preventative healthcare. She believes it is important that all her patients are active participants in their overall physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
She particularly enjoys the long-standing relationships she has built with many of her patients over the years, and her patients have nothing but good things to say about her as a result.
Dr. Sorotzkin is an active sports enthusiast. When she has some free time, she loves doing Pilates and yoga. But there is nothing that she loves more than hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains and adventure travel with her husband and three adult children.

Ruth takes my health concerns seriously and her staff is competent and professional. I am always treated nicely by the entire team. Sometimes lately it has been difficult to get an appointment as soon as needed. Sorotzkin is an excellent physician. My mother saw saw her for several decades, as have I. After asking a lot of questions, and a thorough examination. Sorotzkin takes charge and runs tests / gives referrals for issues that are concerning to her. She knows a lot about medicine - more than many Internists, has excellent network of specialists. Her manner is calm, intelligent, and explains all. She is patient and kind but pushes me when I need to take care of myself or take action.
