About Rigved Tadwalkar, MD
Dr. Rigved Tadwalkar is a Consultant Cardiologist with the Pacific Heart Institute. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians, and is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. He provides a full range of non-invasive and invasive diagnostics, as well as conventional and novel therapies. He additionally offers concierge services through an enhanced access program, delivering exceptional personalized care. With a passion for digital health, Dr. Tadwalkar co-founded the Committee on Technology with the California Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, the first state-level chapter of a medical specialty organization with a committee of this type. Dr. Tadwalkar’s additional clinical interests encompass the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease and include multimodality imaging, interventional echocardiography, diagnostic catheterization, and prevention. His professional interests include practice management, quality improvement, clinical research, medical education, entrepreneurship, public speaking, social media, and marketing. Dr. Tadwalkar is an emerging voice in the field, cited in a variety of leading healthcare media on the latest topics. He has been elected to the Super Doctors “Rising Stars” list annually since 2020, an honor bestowed to approximately 2.5% of physicians in a particular state or region.
Dr. Tadwalkar received his M.D. from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He obtained his M.S. degree in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University and his B.A. degree from the University of Southern California in Biological Sciences and Sociology. Dr. Tadwalkar finished his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center & the West Los Angeles VA Hospital. Upon completion of his residency program in 2013, Dr. Tadwalkar accepted a faculty teaching position at UCLA as a Clinical Instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Tadwalkar’s enthusiasm for Cardiovascular Medicine throughout his career led him to fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. His accomplishment in this role was highlighted with several awards, including the Excellence in Cardiology Fellowship Award from the Cardiovascular Research Foundation of Southern California. During his final year of training, Dr. Tadwalkar served as Chief Cardiology Fellow, where he managed day-to-day operations for fellows in his program, including educational and clinical activities.
