About Megan Chen, MD, MPH

Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Megan Chen, MD, MPH decided to pursue medicine while in high school doing volunteer work with the elderly. The “Spring Fling” event at the Cupertino Senior Center was the defining moment that inspired her to consider primary care. While there, she met extraordinary vivacious people, filled with a sense of serenity and fulfillment. Moments like these made her want to maintain her own optimal health, as well as help other people to achieve theirs by providing care for them throughout their lives.

Dr. Chen received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed both her internship and residency at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California.

As a family practitioner, Dr. Chen enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients. She helps her patients understand their illnesses and empowers them with the knowledge needed so they can improve their own lives. She strongly believes in preventive care, and she incorporates her Masters in Public Health (MPH) training into her philosophy of practice.

Dr. Chen was born in California in the Silicon Valley and is of Taiwanese-American descent. Outside of work, you can often find Dr. Chen trying out a new restaurant with her husband and three children, or you may find her practicing her deep breathing at vinyasa yoga.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Megan Eng-Ling Chen. She was very attentive, caring, helpful and informative. Answered all my questions and provided valuable feedback to my concerns. I found the best one! Check in process was easy and quick, receptionist – welcoming, helpful and polite. Thank you Providence, Dr. Eng-Lin Chen and staff!
