New patient treated respectful and quickly

The online visit with my PCP Dr Chen purpose was to discuss continuing an OTC med I have taken for decades. It was a forum for us both to look at evidence based medicine to answer my quiry - to continut on the OTC or not. This is a vital for me question. Dr. Chen's clinical skill and breadth of knowledge was what I experience. I was moved along in my process and it was easy since it was on line. This service is vital to patients. Wondering if having someone manage doctor's time, supporting them to have a block of online visits and gently supporting them to get online nearer the appointed time is possible. I know as a physician, I get very deeply involved with each of my patients and having a reminder of where I need to be next on the schedule, without interrupting me, is appreciated. The nice thing about waiting for an online visit is, I am at home and I definitely accomplished a pile of work during the wait time. All is well. Dr Chen is absolutely the perfect physician for me. She is SUPERB in all matters of being my physician.

Everyone values different things in a doctor, but for me Dr. Chen is a near perfect balance of listening, being open minded to my specific needs, body, history, personality, desires as a patient while having deep knowledge and clear suggestions. It feels like talk as partners in my health which I really appreciate. She comes off as empathetic and interested, and is willing to provide choices and options to deal with health issue, not just commands or orders - which is very important to me. She is willing to say 'I don't know' or 'I need to look into that' which is HUGE. I've had way too many doctors in my life who seemed to feel they must come off as knowing everything about everything off the top of their heads -- and then proving to be wrong - sometimes dangerously so - later on. I feel no risk of that with Dr. Chen. Her humility and humanity makes her a perfect doctor for me.

Dr. Megan Chen has the most thorough and organized clinic notes and follow-up on my routine blood tests I have ever seen. I am a clinical pharmacist so I am familiar with patient charts and provider notes. I appreciate that she took the time to organize my blood tests into categories and addressed even the normal results and noted trends compared to last year. She also took the time to calculate ASCVD risk even though my cholesterol was at the upper limit of normal. This may all sound like things all PCP's should routinely do, but I have had 4 PCP's across different healthcare systems and none of them do this. Even my husband's PCP in the same exact medical office does not do this, and with abysmal follow-up. Dr. Chen is a gem and I am very thankful to be under her care!

I love Dr. Chen. She is compassionate and thorough in her assessments. This has been a challenging year for me and I coped with a lot of stressors that may have impacted my health. I am in great hands with her as she coordinates more testing for me to make sure I am ok. She is my ideal doctor.

Getting an appointment is particularly hard. Online is always booked out endlessly and calling usuallly gets an appointment - much later than expected. But the dr is excellent at respondng to emails and if I tell her that the issue is urgent - she will make room in her schedule to see me, or assign me to her assistant - who is wonderful. I am very pleased w my health care provider and would highly recommend her office to anyone in need.

I really am very happy with Dr. Chen. She really truly listens and cares. She is very knowledgeable and had a lot of good advice for me and have me great goals to work on and also very good referrals. This is the first doctor that I have been to that I am comfortable with as choosing to be my primary care physician as she truly "cares" and has compassion for her patients. In addition to this she seems very knowledgeable about even something as complicated and rare as myalgic encephalomyelitis. And she did not make me feel like I was making up my symptoms. Other doctors have not listened to me when I have expressed how fatigued and how much pain I live with. Dr. Chen gave me a great rheumatologist referral and some gentle exercise goals at home that seem workable. I left my appointment feeling more positive as if I finally found someone who might be in my corner and help me find a way to get better or figure out what is wrong with me

My PCP Dr. Megan Chen she's the most efficient and thorough about any health concern of mine. She referred me to Specialists if really necessary, but one particular Specialist she recommended I am not kin of. I rather see her and do the exam, but it's necessary to see other specialists with her recommendation. I am very comfortable seeing her and talk anything to her about my health wellbeing and I am always feeling positive of her responses. I am very pleased with her and her entire staff including the warm welcome of the front desk staff!

This was my first visit with Dr. Chen asmy new doctor. I had expected an examination, but that was deferred to next January. I made the appointment in February. This was the first availble time. All the results were posted on MyChart.The office visit with Dr. Chen was very pleasant and I think we will develop a good relationship.

I am so happy with Dr. Megan Chen. She knows my history. She's got the charts. She hears my concerns. I can text her office with questions on MyChart and someone always responds.I feel very fortunate to have her as my PCP. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful.

My only complaint was that it took approximately 6 months to schedule this initial "new patient" appointment. However, during our visit she was thorough, professional and also caring. I always have the best experience visiting Dr. Chen for my wellness exams and to discuss any health issues I might be having at the moment. I would highly recommend her to anyone as a care provider. The only note I have is scheduling difficulty - I had to cancel my initial wellness exam appointment as I was ill. I tried calling the office to reschedule and had a difficult time getting through to the front desk. The website experience isn't the easiest to use and wasn't showing any available appointments for months. I called a few days later and was able to get through to the front desk but learned the next available appointment was 3 months later. Luckily Dr Chen has a sudden opening 2 weeks from when I called. I'm glad I was able to see her!

I am very fortunate and grateful to have Dr. Megan Chen as my primary care physician. I've had many other PCF in my adult life but not one as knowledgeable, kind and genuine. It was Dr. Chen who flagged something in a refill for medication and then asked that I come in to follow-up. Wait time for this annual physical was about 45 minutes after being prepped In the patient room - no one checked in during the entire wait time or toAdvise the ongoing delay. It took 3 months to schedule - it's disappointing the service level. Love Dr Chen though - she's been a consistent, high-care doctor for years!

Dr.Megan Chen is my PCP since I got my MHI from other HI. I didn't know I could have her even I changed HI. When I found out right away I requested for her, but when I called her office I was considered a new patient and they accepted new patient. That when my search for new PCP became nightmare! Especially I found an MD on the same building as her thinking this will be good. This office kept on changing my appt. The day before my appt. Twice! I got an appt on MyChart I didn't know I went to that. I was lucky I got a good doctor she's substituting for my assigned PCP which didn't got to meet. But I was very satisfied with the temporary. Then someone skewered up my test lab on this office I am referring to the staff not the MD because I knew she's very thorough on her exam. The only I got the right results when my labwork was sent out that clinic. That when I decided to pursue again to get Dr Megan Chen. First sent my UCard wrong provider. Then I finally I got Dr. Megan Chen corrected and immediately I was able to get an appointment. She was very thorough as always, patience and attentive. She a doctor that anyone needs because you can be open and honest about what's you going through and she give me good suggestion and advice of any medical needs. I am really happy to have her again and her entire team! My experience with this clinic I got nothing to say bad. From front office, nurses assistant and lab technician and especially Dr Megan Chen they make you feel you are family because they care!

Dr. Chen is an excellent doctor. Caring and well informed.

Dr. Megan Chen and her staff are by far the best practice that I've had since my move to LA 9 years ago. I've been through quite a few different Primary Care physicians but Dr. Chen is by far the most knowledgeable, thorough, accessible, and kind of them all. Very grateful to have Dr. Chen as my primary care physician. In this instance, she took my appointment on short notice, giving up her time for lunch that day to do so.

Fantastic dr and office staff are courteous and professional. Only issue was appt booked out several months. But this was an annual exam so not urgent.

Megan Chen is an excellent internist who is very responsive during my in person visits and on My Chart when I message her.I feel I am receiving excellent care from her and she personally cares about my health. My husband is her patient and feels the same.

Dr. Chen is wonderful and thoughtful and down to earth. She took her time with me to listen and provide care and guidance as well as follow up. The other staff in the office was personable and helpful beyond measures (even adding change to my meter when the appt ran over time). Great practice. My only concern, which may not be practice related, was that my medical records were incomplete; there was nothing in the system since 2010. I am fairly new to the practice (and CA) but I was almost sure I sent everything over.
