Timotea “Timo” Lara, NP-C is an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of oncology nursing experience. She has dedicated her career to providing comprehensive care and support for cancer patients and survivors. With a strong background in oncology and a passion for patient advocacy, she has a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of those affected by cancer. Survivorship care allows her to guide patients through every stage of their cancer journey, from diagnosis to recovery and beyond. With a focus on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care, she is committed to helping cancer survivors live their best lives. Timo Lara, NP has published book chapters in Core Curriculum for Oncology Nursing and Advanced Oncology Nursing Certication Review.

Providence PatientIt's not a bad experience, but rather a surprise during our visit with one of the speech pathologists who wanted to educate me on my 'very possibly needing a tracheotomy' for this type of surgery. Anxiety levels went up a bit, but a couple hours later were told "NO" I would not be in need of one. She was just being very thorough in her explanation, but on a patient that had never been told of a possible need for one.
