About Joseph Zikry, MD
Los Angeles native Dr. Joseph Zikry is a dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California, where he received a full academic scholarship and graduated with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude. He attended the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, and was admitted into the most prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
After medical school, Dr. Zikry completed an internship in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and completed his dermatology residency at the University of Southern California. There, he served as Chief Resident in his final year. While at USC, he had the opportunity to train at many highly recognized hospitals, including the Los Angeles County Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the USC/Keck Academic Center.
Dr. Zikry takes pride in providing empathetic, patient-centered care to help patients make well-informed decisions that align with their treatment goals. Skin conditions can often be socially stigmatizing, and Dr. Zikry’s ultimate goal is to help every patient feel comfortable in their skin.
Dr. Zikry stays up to date on the newest medical and surgical advancements in dermatology and utilizes evidence-based medicine when treating his patients. He has published numerous research articles in leading medical dermatologic journals, including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
