It goes from top down in her department, in that all of her team is excellent and work so hard for all their patients in a unified manner. This style of surgery saved me hours on the operating table and the ability for the surgeon to know exactly where to put the markers among many other things. This makes a huge difference in their ability to understand a wide range of female Ailments. She asked about in my medical history and what medications I was taking for my A-fib.. She explained the pros and cons of HRT and the consequences. Dr. Grumely emailed me the findings of my mammogram and ultra sound as soon as they became available. I was very Impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the technicians who performed the mammogram and ultrasound tests. Dr. Grumley squeezed me into her schedule to deal with an urgent issue, and I really appreciate it. Once I got through to her office staff, I got good response and help. The week prior, my internist had ordered a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound on my right breast to address an urgent issue, and dealing with the "general" scheduling department was a nightmare. Once we finally got to Dr. Grumley's office, we were able to get help.

Your questionnaire does not fit the care/relationship with my breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Grumley, and the team she has trained and assembled around her. She Is off any scale of numbers you can provide. She brings the best of evidence based medicine, her technical expertise, and her heart and soul to the care of her patients---to me, if I speak specifics. You could have no better person in this position for our community. She is the epitome of physician in our modern age. The questionnaire writers should consider subsets for the specialty providers at St. Johns and give varying times between office visits for monitoring cancer recurrence, by the way. No patient I know considers their visit with their cancer surgeon or the oncologist as "routine care" and yet, when no cancer has been detected, the visits after that are spread out per each specialty. In some respects they are "routine" but to the cancer patient, each visit is facing their mortality again and again. Dr. Grumley is a superb physician. My opinion is based on being a patient and being a physician. She is the "bee's knees".
