Janice Miyakawa, MD

I have been with Dr. Miyakawa for years. My only complaint this year was that my mammogram referral expired and I called to have her send another one over so I could get my mammogram scheduled in August when I have time off. That never happened until I went in for my physical so am not sure when I will be able to get back to Santa Monica to get that done.

I've been with Dr. Miyakawa well over 40 years and there has not been a day that I regret the extra drive to be able to get her care. She always has gone above and beyond and the level of care she provides is more than outstanding. I'm lucky to have her as my physician.

I believe I have been with Dr. Miyakawa for 40 years now. That has to say some thing. She has been there for me since I was a kid and I have never been steered wrong. I have moved further and further away from her, but remain loyal to her as long as she's practicing.

The visit was great as usual. I forgot to mention a few issues regarding some minor health experiences. There was a helper inputting information into the computer chart. The helper was silent and very respectful ...having said that it made me a bit uncomfortable talking about a few personal health issues. I would have preferred just myself and the doctor. Yet, I know the attention to me was 100% because the doctor was able to give me her full attention. So it's my issue and is a bit of a trade off. Not a huge problem, just made me feel a bit uncomfortable The doctor is very good at her job. She is helpful, well informed and listens to any concerns I have.
