Dr. Miyakawa is phenomenal! I will be devastated if she ever retires. I especially appreciate how accessible she is, and how timely she is w/ her replies. She spends time w/ me as a patient, which lets me know she's genuinely invested in my health and well-being, and I love that she validates my concerns. I've referred two immediate family members to her, but unfortunately for them, she's not accepting new patients. Grade A doctor, though.

For an Annual - I thought I was coming in for a follow-up - but it was an annual - I think you send out a list of questions that I can answer ahead of time - for example date of last eye exam. That would make the process faster.

I believe I have been with Dr. Miyakawa for 40 years now. That has to say some thing. She has been there for me since I was a kid and I have never been steered wrong. I have moved further and further away from her, but remain loyal to her as long as she's practicing.

Excellent provider and health advisor

The visit was great as usual. I forgot to mention a few issues regarding some minor health experiences. There was a helper inputting information into the computer chart. The helper was silent and very respectful ...having said that it made me a bit uncomfortable talking about a few personal health issues. I would have preferred just myself and the doctor. Yet, I know the attention to me was 100% because the doctor was able to give me her full attention. So it's my issue and is a bit of a trade off. Not a huge problem, just made me feel a bit uncomfortable The doctor is very good at her job. She is helpful, well informed and listens to any concerns I have.
