Dr Niles, is very knowledgeable and speaks in lay-man terms while explaining his point or in response to my questions. In terms of after hour questions, I use the patient portal often in the evenings. Dr Niles responses the next day to my inquiries, he's proactive in ordering necessary lab work or discussing possible referrals. Dr. Niles makes me feel comfortable as he listens attentively and full responses to my questions. I'm very happy that Dr. Niles is my primary care physician. I really luv my doc and I am not going to change to someone else as he and I agree on the most holistic ways for treatment. The only thing he doesn't do as good as some docs I've had in the past is explain the reason behind diseases or physical processes or drugs or supplements. Things are going on in his mind but he doesn't share enough with me about what is going on. I am a very inquisitive and curious person and want to know as much about what is going on with me as possible as only that will give me 100% power over my own health. He answers my questions but I am used to more detail and more sharing about bodily processes or alternate methods or natures of diseases/injuries. Looking on the computer, reading my chart and entering into the computer isn't enough communication with me. I am not sure if he is aware of that. It could just be his personality but it could also be the time allotted for a visit. I will continue to pull things out of him though:))

I have been suffering with many medical issues some I had it since a teenager and others was provoked by abusive Kaiser. Dr have been prescribing all kinds of medication, and they only hurt me instead of getting better. Recently Dr Niles prescribed this medication that made a huge huge difference in my health. Is like giving another opportunity for a second life. It turns out when I pick up the same medication at the pharmacy instead of taking two pills of 150mg, the pharmacy handed me the same prescription medication but this time was 300mg ones a day.. After taking it for a few days I noticed returning back to my pain and health problems. I wrote to Dr Niles telling him the pharmacy had given me a prescription that is not at all the same as the previous one. Please please put me back on the same medication he had me back since this second one you prescribed it feels like a placebo. I sent the message to Dr Niles early Friday morning. By Monday morning he call the pharmacy to change my medication. Dr Niles is the only Dr in the twenty + years that I have been looking for and answer to my health issues. I just started taking the Second round of the medication that has made a difference in my health. I will be giving more feedback to Dr Niles as the days go by. I have a lot of respect for Dr Niles. He is a true Doctor.

Dr Niles is a great primary doc! We are very appreciative of him and his medical knowledge and experience. Although we are receiving excellent care, the one tiny thing that we miss is the old approach in which the primary care doc not only makes referrals to specialists, but also keeps a close-up physical assessment of all of our vital systems and organs through palpation and oscultation as well as the ever-present automated assessment modes. That is reassuring to older patients such as ourselves who grew up being examined by our family docs.

Shortly afterwards the results were reposted with comments from Dr. Niles. I didn't want my answer in this section to be viewed as a negative criticism. All experiences with Dr.Niles and his team were very good.

First appt with this care provider since our primary retired. Very through and addressed lifestyle issues as well, i.e. Alcohol consumption, sleeping issues, etc. I have already made progress on suggestions provided by doctor. Very pleased with professional approach and recommendations.

My previous PC physician, departed the group VERY unexpectedly, surprising all concerned, including colleagues, staff, and patients. As a result of this unusual event, I selected Dr. Niles as my replacement PCP, and I am SO glad I found him! He's awesome.

The combination of traditional and functional medicine such as Dr. Niles has, is the best way to achieve optimal health for patients. There is no one right answer. Dr. Niles is great and helpful, the front desk needs a lot of work on how they treat patients. They are not kind whatsoever. Dr. Niles's functional medicine experience is a real plus. Wish there were more PCP's out there that had this knowledge and included this in their work with patients.He is very detailed and catches things that other don't. He is a good listener and respectful of my concerns and experiences.

Dr. Niles is probably the best doctor I have ever had. He listens to me, gives me advice I can use, and considers any requests, At age 77, many doctors just write me off and attribute all my problems to "aging." Dr. Niles goes the extra mile and sees me as an individual.

We really appreciate Dr. Niles' practical approach, his low-key, confident willingness to look at all of the possible answers for a health question, not just jump to surgery or more and more drugs. He has been perfectly willing to advocate for pharmaceuticals when needed, but also respects the fields of asian medicine, homeopathy, physical therapy, etc., which is deeply helpful when the goal is healing and ongoing health.

This was by far the best visit experience I've ever had. from check in to checkout the timing was great. Staff was very friendly throughout and everyone greeted me. Dr Niles was amazing. it's been some time since I've had a GP who cares and is genuinely concerned for my well-being. my visit was for a routine checkup and a sugar level concern, and Dr Niles walked me through the entire process. I appreciate the high level of attention. I was shocked by how much we covered in a reasonably short visit. Dr Niles is an asset to the team at Providence St Johns, and the same goes for everyone that I had interaction with.

Dr. Niles has always made me feel that my concerns or questions were important to him and made me feel equally confident in his responses, suggestions and course of action for care of my health.

I haven't had a primary care doctor in many years. I learned of Providence St John's from [...] when I had reached out to them for scheduling a physical. I then researched Providence and selected Dr Niles based on experience. I work in health care directly with surgeons. I felt Dr Niles had great bedside manner and was casual and friendly. I'm looking forward to having him as my primary care Doctor as well as Providence St John's.
