She fostered her particular interest in breast cancer treatment and breast health while continuing her general surgery training and completed her surgical residency at Mercer University-Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia. She then pursued advanced training at the University of Southern California, where she completed her Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship.

Dr. Fancher has received several awards, including the award for Outstanding Performance in Robotics and Minimally Invasive surgery, the Muzzy Family Fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, and the award for Best Clinical paper in the State of Georgia-Committee on Trauma, Georgia Chapter-American College of Surgeon.

She is excited to be back in Santa Monica, providing care to breast cancer patients in the community she grew up. When not with patients, Dr. Fancher enjoys a good day at the beach or lounging by the pool and taking advantage of the great weather in Southern California. She can also be found at a Dodger’s game, as she has been a fan since her early days playing softball. She also loves her Jeep Wrangler and likes to take it off-roading whenever she gets the chance.

I love and admire Dr Fancher: she is patient with my questions, calm, and clear; she anticipates my concerns (sometimes answering questions I didn't know I needed to ask!); and of course she is a very competent surgeon. I'm a huge fan, and would recommend her to anyone in my situation.
