About Brian Madden, MD
East Coast native Brian D. Madden, MD, is a board-certified hospice and palliative medicine physician. He is the medical director of the palliative care program at Providence Saint John’s Health Center. He provides palliative and supportive care for patients with serious illnesses as part of the Doctors of Saint John’s Health Center.
His clinical interests revolve around improving the quality of life in complicated or progressive diseases, whether the goal is continued treatment or symptom management. He is adept at helping patients align goals with medical care, cope with illness in themselves or their families, and develop a customized, comprehensive treatment plan. He listens.
Dr. Madden received his undergraduate degree in neuroscience Magna Cum Laude from Brown University and his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his family medicine residency at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and was in private practice for over a decade on the Westside before joining The Doctors of Saint John’s.
