About Belinda Ko, MD
Belinda Y. Ko, MD, is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a fellowship-trained Primary Care Sports Medicine physician.
Dr. Ko grew up in San Jose, California. She is proud to be the first female physician in her family. Her parents immigrated from Taiwan and taught her the value of hard work and perseverance. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCSB. She started two new community service clubs when she was at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She spent a month in Nepal as a medical volunteer and learned medical Spanish in Costa Rica. She returned to California for her internship and residency at UCLA Medical Center and her fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Ko strives to treat patients of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds with compassion and respect. When not in the office, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and reading, especially with her husband and two children. Dr. Ko practiced Sports Medicine for 10 years in the South Bay before joining Providence in Santa Monica. She believes in building a partnership with her patients to lead a healthier lifestyle and improve their quality of life. You do not have to be an athlete to see her; she strives to help anyone with musculoskeletal pain.
