About Eugene J. Sung, PA-C
Eugene Sung PA-C is a physician assistant in hematology and oncology who earned his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the Southern California University of Health Sciences. He began his career in pain management before transitioning to hematology/oncology at UCLA Health, and most recently practiced at the Beverly Hills Cancer Center. His clinical interests include lung, head and neck, and gastrointestinal cancers, chemotherapy and immunotherapy management, and cancer survivorship and symptom care.
Eugene’s path to oncology began at home. Both of his parents were treated for cancer, and walking beside them as a family member gave him firsthand understanding of what a cancer diagnosis asks of patients and their family members. He brings that perspective into every visit, taking time to explain treatment plans in plain language and to make a difficult stretch of life feel more manageable.
